ARC is a small, hard-working Certified Woman-Owned environmental consulting firm based in Massachusetts formed in 2009 by owner Wendy Gendron. Prior to forming ARC, I worked as a consultant at a large international consulting firm for 13 years. During that time, I provided water resources consulting for public and private clients both large and small. I left the firm to work on large scale ecosystem restorations projects for the Federal government. Although large multi-million dollar restorations (both fresh & salt water) are technically and professionally challenging, I missed working on smaller lakes, ponds, rivers and streams. Most of all, I missed working closely with local groups that share my passion and love of the water.

My First Mate “Ranger”  aka “Buddy”

I am a biologist by education and a Certified Lake Manager with the North American Lake Management Society (NALMS). I am more aptly described as an ecologist based on my 20+ years of experience restoring and protecting aquatic environments. My experience extends beyond the study of individual organisms and includes the study of interactions between the chemical, biological and physical environment and organisms. I have extensive experience in habitat assessments, eutrophication and water chemistry, aquatic macrophytes, fisheries, invasive species, and the human impact on the environment.

I live on a lake in Ashburnham, Massachusetts. I am active with environmental and animal welfare organizations and societies. I served as a Director for NALMS and the Secretary for the Northeast Chapter of NALMS.

Depending on the project, ARC can serve most of your ecological water resource needs. For larger projects or those requiring complex engineering or soil/water contamination, ARC has a network of professionals with established reputations ready to help.
